We celebrate Parkhurst's Latin American influences and influencers on Saturday April 29th, 2023 at Elmont Memorial High School
Darcy Duplessy, Parkhurst's 2022 Scholarship recipient, tells us about her experience as a first year student at Boston University.
"As a member of a community, every day you see things that need to be fixed, things that need to be done, things that could be made better. As a child I was not blind to these things, but I had no idea how to make a difference, how to change things on my own. It was when I found clubs in my school, I realized that there is strength in numbers and strength in a common goal, especially when that goal is in your own town, that there can be change."
- Darcy Duplessy
